My trip to Taiwan and hongkong 7-13 march 2008

7th march 2008
set off to carmen's house in uncle's motor at abt 4.30 am
and off to the airport

met ong li dan and liwen at around 630

on the plane to hongkong, to transit to taiwan via cathay pacific

beautiful clouds. am on clouds nines lols.

reached taiwan at around 3pm
saw this little board bearing our name.

lols. it says there

we were "scolded" by the tour guide coz we went of to buy water
we took his CAR to our hotel
mind you, its a car. not a coach

reached kilin hotel
damn it
the hotel is full
and wad did they expected us to do?
go to another hotel and make our own way to the kilin hotel tml for the city tour

and of coz we were damn pissed
at last there were a car to send us to the other hotel
zhao ri hotel

its a rather nice hotel.

we let ong li dan chose her room
and she deeply regretted it

coz our room is a 3 beded
lols

and my bed is queen sized!
can fit her big butt lols

settled down and went over to some shopping mall near our hotel
and took a shuttle bus to the zhong xiao gong lu area

bought 2 damn cheap pouch and some bling accessories
at a damn cheap price

was hungry
and we visited ah zhong mian xian

its damnnnnn nice
except for that pig intestine

ong li pan

we shopped and shopped

and we bought a slice of cheese cake at a bakery

coz lidan wanted to try their cheese cake

it was okok lar

and we saw another cake shop selling cheese cake

and it looks nice

but actually the first one was nicer!

we walked and walked

went missing

and finally we found the rao he ye shi

we walked past the 5 fen pu while looking for the night market

was damn attracted can

its soem place like bugis selling lots of clothes

wholesale clothings thats very cheap

we bought some food at rao he

and i want to mention

the ru wei the tv always introduce seems so nice

and the 1 i bought is so damn cold and disgusting

walked back to out hotel

and we asked for directions in this shop selling motor helmets

and the person thought we were japaneses

and he went....ah nor....

and we burst out laughing and told him that we could understand hokkien

lolsss

lidan and li wen visited the pet shop

which was sooo scary can

im animal-phobic

back to hotel and time to rest

day2

woke up at 6+

to catch the car to go back to kilin hotel

took our breakfast at zhao ri

went for the city tour

first stop was the duno wad place.

just to take pictures

went over to yehliu

a place to look for stones and rocks

can see all the decomposition of the rocks

i duno wads the purpose of searching of rock
coz i doZed off the moment im on the tour bus

and didn even listened to the tour guide

the ancient clock

lidan says it turn itselves -how true??

the "we-think-is-the-rock-that-we-are-supposed-to-find" rock

the stalls outside the yehliu

selling the bbq cuttlefish

itsss damn nice

went over to jiu fen
a v nice place

to eat and buy things

machiam parsar malam

lots of snacks

like the fen yuan, gong yuan, the potatochip on sticks. not nice peanut popiah with icecream

and lidan and car bought the legendary guo dong

HELLO

ITS 4KG IN WEIGHT OKOK!

they were psycho-ed to buy

and the took it with them from taiwan to hongkong and back to sg

often worrying that the pressure of the flight might burst the guo dong

went to some tribe place selling chinese tonic

with their skin care products with the name-SK 1

lolsss

and some place selling greeen tea powder

was damn tempted to buy the $50 worth green tea

went to this duno where place to watch changing of guards

went to the wen quan(hot spring)

which we didnt pao

coz it was wayyyyyy tooo cold

and we didnt like that smell of that place at all.

went to shilin night market at around 7

and we were left alone from there

bought the fried chicken

wasnt really nice coz the bbq it with sauce after frying it

it became like damn soft-NUA DAOOOOO

and NOT NICE

SOMEMORE GOT BONES

ah zhong was better

bought quite alot of small small things

wanted to buy a cartoon bag tog with liwen and carmen

but....

i didnt at the end

the uncle almost killed me

lols

lidan told me to throw away some breakfast coupons

i doubled confirm with her and she was damn sure that its for day2 one.

and we threw the whole stack away

went over to this shop selling boxer

the aunty was damn rude and fierce.

tsk tsk tsk

and we finally tried their pearl tea

walked till 12am

can u imagine carmen and lidan was carrying the 4kg guo dong the whole while?

took a train back and attempted to find the kilin hotel

spent about 1 hr

theres a taxi driver thats so scary and dishonest

refuses to tell us the directions

and wanted us to board his cab

liwen bought the green tea duo duo(yakult)

i regretted not buying it

the kilin hotel was quite sucky

and we realised we threw away breakfast coupons for tomorrow.

day 3-woke up at 8plus

ate the yucky breakfast

coz lidan finally confessed to the hotel staff that she lost the coupons

and able to get some new ones

went to gu gong museum

lidan was soo fake lor

acting to like that museum that much

carmen and liwen was falling asleep

museum with rocks,plates and ancients thingysss

lols

left that place

and went over to the 5 fen pu

had our lunch at a sushi restaurant

damn cheap can-TW$30 for a plate

and the amount totals to TW$600

abt $10 per person

bought 3 clothes there.

wanted to buy 2 bags-for abt $35 for both

but didnt

coz of the ultra long bargaining btwn me, lidan and shop owner

lidan is the best bargainer

i wanted to try the tian bu la

and when lidan finally found it for me.

i waas toooo tired to be bothered by it

went to taipei 101

and went to their food court

carmen bought an agnes voyage pouch

was cheaper than that of sg

we had a lots of NGs before this pic was taken well

wind was soooo strong

went back to the hotel damn early after walking to xi men ding

first time in our trip we reached the hotel around 10 plus

took a cab from xi men ding for TW$70

day4-off to hongkong at 9am

taiwan airport toilet

ended my constipations at the airport

probably thanks to the green tea duo duo that liwen gave me

they were sooo evil

kept laughing at me coz im so constipated

men ah men

played the free computer for awhile

was searching for the green tea duo duo

but with no avail

saw this damnnnnnn cute hello kitty shop

with damn friendly shop keepers

teach u how to make a kitty

playground!!!

i wan this mirror can??

bought a chocolate for hoyin at the hello kitty shop

went onto the plane

and this time

our seats is like. me car and lidan is sitting tog

and liwen's sitting alone

and we started talking nonsenses

i wanted to pinch lidan's stomach

sooo, lidan wanted to pinch my butt

so where do we pinch carmen???

lolsss

met up with hoyin at our hotel lobby

we stayed at metropark kowloon hotel

was soooo much nicer that kilin

we let ong li dan choose her own room

we went to this satay king place for dinner

i had some white curry pork thingy

and liwen finally ate her stone rice

went to nu ren jie to walk

and shopped around mongkok

lidan's supposed to buy a old fashioned shoe for her aunt

and we told hoyin abt it

supposed to go to tsim sha tsui for it at day 5

bought a esprit tee for myself and toh hsien yew

and bought a pants for toh hsien yew at nu ren jie

the lady was soooo damn fierce lar

scolded me lorr

coz i bargain with her

i so wanted to not buy that pants

but lidan and car said to ignore her

its ok. karma karma lols

we went to xu liu shan for mango desserts

nice nice!

hoyin went backed and instructed us the directions to go back

but our backside was itchy

and walked a different route as we wanted to shop

soo we ended up missing again

luckily there was a map

was backed at 12 plus

day5

plan:

-go ocean park

-change room to a non-smoking floor

but changing room only is avaliabe at 10plus am

so we went for breakfast

ong li dan saw the hotel shuttle bus'

and told us to hop on it without much thinking

and we alighted at tsim sha tsui

at an ulu ulu new world shopping centre

we wanted to settle for mcdonals actually coz no shops were open

but we found a high class cafe

and went it

it was nice

except for those rice rolls

eeeeeee

the thought of it...yucks

lols and liwen had her dong nai cha

had my marcroni with ham

we wanted to take the 10.05 shuttle bus

but the driver drove past us

and we chased after it

omg.

diu lian

went back to hotel and had our room changed

this time room is nice

without cigarette smell

lols

went to ocean park as planned

took the shuttle to mongkok station

bought a 1 way pass

and to admiralty

the tickets to ocean park is damnnnnn expensive can

HK$208=SG$40 plusss

the roller coaster that we took

scared carmen's wits out

and its indeed very scary

but was peanuts to liwen and lidan

went to the jelly fish exhibiton

damn nice can

with the lightings

went to the underwater world

to see fishes and sharks

ever seen an octopus eyes?

went for a ride on the swinging thingy before our lunch

was a fake KFC lunch

with gloves

lols

wanted to catch the dolphin show at 3.3opm

before heading there

lidan and liwen had a go on that scary thingy

that plunger or wad de lar

we ran for the show

and we almost couldnt catch it

after that went over to cable car

met hoyin at tsim sha tsui station after that

at the handsome bear bank

but we only met her at 6.30pm though we agreed to meet at 6.oopm

coz she's at the bank and we were at the atm

went to look for that old fashion shoe shop

but was already close shop liao

bought the ji dan zai there

the nice 1

went to harbour city shopping centre

to buy a branded gift for toh hsien yew

bought a FCUK tshirt for him

went in to coach to check the clutch prices

and its $8 cheaper than in sg

was very very tempted to buy

but didnt

coz its only $8 after all

headed to xing guang da dao(avenue of stars)

on the way checked prices at 2 agnes voyage shop for carmen pouch

the prices are unbelievable

was cheaper that 101 outlet

went to avenue of stars

night scenery of hk

after that we walked out halfway

and realised that the ulu ulu new world shopping centre is just behind the xing guang da dao

went to tsim sha tsui for a walk

went to the cafe for a meal

had toast

and VEGETABLES

its so hard to find vegetables in hk

went back after walking for a while

walked around

took a cab back

lols.

we were staying at waterloo st

so that ong li dan told the driver that we are heading to shui-loo st

LOLS!

i rather worried that the driver will bring us for a ride

so i said loudly that we were very familar with the area after many attempts of walking

we agreed to play game after reaching hotel

but ended up chatting

and we calculated the prices for the cafe meal

and realised that hoyin was the one who counted wrongly

and we gossiped

and headed to bed there after
