Sunday-27/1/08

pm shift today

wellz.
took over from celine

was working with il fan today
she really taught me alot

but i kinda felt...
sooooo alone and soooooooooooo useless
i mean.
i hope i can do things better
i hope i can know more

a simple referral to amk has so many steps to be fulfil
and i dont even know whatever it is

i still gave stupid and funny answers like-we have to wait for msw report

she pointed out lots of mistakes from celine's report
she taught me how to write a report

i seriously wanted to much to do it well
i didnt dare to ask how did i performed today

i mean i didnt make mistakes today
but upon seeing the mistakes tat ur fellow collegue makes,
i really felt down and out

that actually what we students know are sooo limited

in my mind, i kept reminding myself of-what should i be doing now
taking the case of 10 patients

referral to be done
parameters to be done
bla bla
assessing the patients accurately
and not to be the blind following the blind

oh god
can i have more experience

i seriously thank il fan for teaching me to do things right
and i need to buck up
for doing things better

26th January 2008-Saturday

my day didnt started off very well.

quarrelled with toh hsien yew again

because i woke him up at 1pm

and he told me to wake him up half an hr later

i refused.

because usually he wouldnt wake up till an hr later

sooo.he became a little irritated and sounded harsh

i was kinda.... irritated too

and we quarrelled as a result

coz i explained to him that if he wakes up at 1pm...

given his "good concept of time"

it would be 3pm that we met

he wouldnt hear of it and was irritated

well...

it was really 3 when we met

imagine if i waited for another half-1 hr time?

anyway i was ready at 2pm and i fell asleep while waiting for him to call me.

its like..

if he really wants to go out wit me....

i mean he can make an effort to do so
im really frusturated that i always had to wait for him for at least an hr before we can go out

i actually dont really mind that i had to wait for him for an hr

but the more frusturating part is that he still wanna scold me for not letting him sleep that 1 hr???

sometimes the way he blames me really made me feel sad

he would say-i have headache because u didnt let me sleep enough

i mean. i didnt want that to happen didnt i??

i was darn disappointed in him today

but managed to simmer down when i saw him.

HAI! what to do?

anyway went to heeren at first coz he wanted to use his billy bomber voucher

upon reaching the doorstep of billy bomber

that we came to realise that the voucher cant be use on saturdays

so we went to Haji lane instead

oooo... so fierce de. scare scare. haa

his ugly pose upon requested by me

bought a dress at haji lane at duno which shop

which is something that was finally commented by him that was nice and sweet

all the shops at Haji was sooo.. childhood

is so 60s..

after that went to a prata shop in arab st to have our meal

ate nasi brayni (is that hw u spell???)

headed to orchard

bought a shoes at far east mondo.

to match my dress.. cheap de lorr. $20

took a bus from far east to robinsons coz that pig was lazy to walk

no wonders that he was fat

bought a chanel press powder $69

and my most sinful buys for the day

a Levis lady style jeans

its a pink tag =D

quite surprised that i still can squeeze into that size 24

hahahaha

but its still time to diet larrrr

can say i've completed 3/4 of my new year buys
happy and satisfied

and i dun wanna know too

yesterday was having the same shift as Ms Hu

our time after 8pm was spent tog with noor

23/1/08-wednesday

AM shift today

woke up and realised that celine sent me a message
saying that she brought the key home
teooow.
was like ok,...

then i was trying to be clever
and not bring my big wallet to work coz theres no locker for me to put my things
soooo. i just brought the LV pouch to work

when i reached the MRT...
i realised that i shouldnt gei kiang. (act clever)

i didnt put my EzLink into my pouch
sian half
have to buy a standard ticket.

somemore must buy pen.

plusss. i wore a micropore nametag
hahahahaz

but work has been quite good today
with janice
shesss's soo nice as she's really knows how to guide a student i should say
=)) thanks lotsss

passed to Ms Hu in the afternoon

she's so bad de lorr.. stress me to go on diet
which is like i just ate a very full lunch

hahahaz. dun friend u alreadi. hurrr~

anyway on the way home. met this wierd uncle
who will talk to any small kid in sight
he was sitting beside me
and i was resting
then, before he alight, he told me
"move over to this seat (the corner seat) if not when u sleep, u might fall."
hahahahahaz.
nice and wierd uncle.

tml working afternoon
and another day of afternoon before i get my day off
hope the staff tml is good.

Saturday-19th Jan 08

went Vivo with pang to shop...

went to the kim gary hongkong cafe to have our lunch+dinner

went to orchard coz pang wanted to buy a book from kinokuniya

coz they have their own designer to design those branded stuffs.

fun day~

finished my 3 nights..

only to say-was v tiring~

to reach at 7pm and leave the ward at 8.30am

first night was damn busy

was with my preceptor. lihong

lihong is damn nice lorrr. so helpful..

nv fail to teach me if i duno anything

it was a fun night

took 13 cases

2nd night was quite boring

but the staff was good that night

took 17 cases

after 2am i've got nth else to do.

3rd night

took onli 10 cases

was quite free most of the time

coz i was together with this new SN.

lets call her SN L

she's new

she's very soft-spoken

i can see that she tries very hard to do her things well

but she's just too soft spoken and indecisive in doing her things

that the staffs in the ward didnt really like working with her

i mean

when a patient fall...

u should be patient-orientated

and not be like running to a senior staff and ask-the patient fell, how ar?

but sometimes i really pity her

coz she's in so much stress

and some of the ward staffs are so bad lar...

they would say things like "that SN can cope with a HCA but if its SN L, confirm canot"

and they would say that infront of her de lorr..

so ke lian

wanted to help her that night

but she simply dun communicate to me at all

she canot even trust me to do things, how to help her?

know what will she ask me??

-when u bring the patient to toilet, must gold the patient u noe...later the patient fall..

-when u take BP, any abnormalities u must tell me ok...nvm later i check for u..

i mean its like...im not v senior in my work or wad

but all these simple simple things...

i believe i can cope???

i told the SN tianshu abt this, she was like laughing lar~

aiyo~~~ duno wad to say...

i was damn free that night.

coz i didnt do much of staff nurse job

i finished my report at 1plus am

and there was patient who fell

and the night sister told me to sit outside the cubicle and look at the patient

haha....ridiculous right?

but i did that for 2 whole hours

other than that was helping SN L here and there

and most of the time helping tian shu and chatting with her.

hahaz.

now i got 4 days off.

to replenish my sleep!

and shopping!!
